“ We had a fabulous Friday dinner. We went for fish fry but couldnt resist the crab stuffed grouper. Old Fashioneds were great, salad bread before the fish, the grouper was perfectly cooked. Our service was excellent, Mary took care of our special requests and checked in often. ”

So although the food tasted good had they been cooked together I think it would have improved the flavor. . Georgia, my server, was great. She was prompt to greet me and checked in occasionally to see if I needed anything. Not once did she ask me how the food was when my mouth was full. ”

“ It was a freezing cold December day when I found the Green Lantern. I was looking to warm up a bit and headed straight to the cozy bar after parking in the large lot. I really liked the classic bar atmosphere and after a few oldfashioneds I was toasty and happy. I wasnt hungry because I had just eaten lunch earlier, but I could smell all the intoxicating aromas from the food being served to others. I decided to come back the following evening for dinner. The blue gill and walleye were delicious. The serving size is generous and the prices reasonable. The service was fast and friendly. It wasnt busy so we enjoyed the atmosphere over a couple more oldfashioneds. I definitely want to return to the Green Lantern. ”

“ Beautiful spot in McFarland where you can eat and experience the local lake before and after dinner. Menu includes fried chicken, walleye, and bluegill, so it is a Wisconsin dinner spot done right. Ownership and service are Wisconsin friendly, and the food is football Saturday good... meaning in my humble opinion... it doesnt get any better than this. We hadnt been here for a few years, but used to go quite a bit. Delivery appetizers onion rings, French fries, etc, dinner club style salads with French dressing, and fried chicken done the way its supposed to be. While Pete the retired truck driver and I ordered and mowed down on and loved the fried chicken...Lisa got the fish tacos and Brett ordered his walleye broiled. Brynne, of course, enjoyed her chicken strips and fries. Wisconsin beat an already beat up New Mexico State team 667. And all was right in the local world, if only for a moment. ”
